Is it possible for a Telnyx agent to utilize Chipp?
I want to integrate with Telnyx so that I can handle a complicated phone routing scenario, but I want the AI agent to utilize Chipp since that is the source of learning. It looks like the Telnyx integration is for Chipp to perform outbound operations, but is it possible to turn Chipp into an authoritative source for Telnyx?

Great question, Andrew!
Yes — Chipp can absolutely serve as the authoritative knowledge source for a Telnyx-powered phone routing setup. A few ways to do it:
1. Chipp API — Keep Telnyx handling your call routing, but at each decision point have it call your Chipp app's chat API. Telnyx manages the telephony, Chipp provides the intelligence and answers.
2. Chipp MCP Server — If your Telnyx agent supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), you can connect it directly to your Chipp app at mcp.chipp.ai/mcp. Your Chipp app becomes a tool the Telnyx agent can query for knowledge and decisions.
3. Chipp as the primary agent — Flip the architecture entirely. Use your Chipp app as the main AI agent and connect Telnyx as an MCP integration (already available in Chipp). Chipp handles all the AI logic and knowledge, while the Telnyx MCP handles SMS, calls, and routing actions.
The Telnyx integration isn't limited to outbound — you can use Chipp as the brain for inbound routing scenarios too. Happy to help you figure out the best approach for your specific use case!

Great thank you! I will probably play with (2) first, but I am interested in (3). I really just want Telnyx to handle inbound routing and SMS ingestion. Telnyx makes it easy to connect a Telnyx agent to a programmable voice app, so I need to figure out how to tell the router to use Chipp instead. I think it has to happen in the webhook handler for call_initiated. How do I setup Telnex as an inbound integration? It looks like Connect section is geared towards outbound actions? Thank you so much for your guidance.
